Introduction

Keyboard Magic is a J2ME tool that allows you to continue making telephone calls when your cellphone keyboard is partially damaged. For example, if you cell phone was soaked in water, and the keys doesn't seem to be working like they should be, this piece of software allows you to continue making phone calls with it, until you get a new phone.

Install Keyboard Magic

• Download Keyboard Magic jar file
• Use the installer utility that came with your cell phone to install
• After installation, run the application. When you get instructions to "play with" a specific key, press that key a couple of times, then stop when instructed to "stop key activity". Repeat this from 0 to 9.
• If you pressed the wrong key, stop immediately, and uninstall, then reinstall and re-setup the application
• When you see "dial your number", you are done and ready to dial. After dialing a key

To dial numbers

Press corresponding keys to dial your numbers. If you don't see your expected number when you press a key, then hold that key until your number shows up. Keyboard Magic does support post-dial numbers. Refer to RFC2806 what post-dial numbers are. Use "Down, 1" to input "wait for dial tone". (Press Down arrow, and then the number 1).
